Heritage Lake has 10 miles of shoreline, is approximately 2.5 miles long and has an average depth of 18 feet. The private lake is only for use by property owners. Development of the community began in 1972 with the creation of six subdivisions. The developer’s intent was a quiet, scenic place for weekend/vacation cabins; however, today there are more than 1,500 homes in a bustling, active community that offers a number of common areas for resident use, including two parks and additional land marked as nature preserves.
