BIG WALNUT SPORTS PARK

1300 South County Road 225 South, Greencastle, IN, 46135

Big Walnut Sports Park is Putnam County’s primary outdoor sports and recreation complex.  The 80-acre park, which began as an all-volunteer effort in 1988, is now a regional draw for tournaments and recreation enthusiasts.

CLOVERDALE COMMUNITY PARK

Cloverdale Community Park

With lots of shade trees and a walking trail, the nearly 10-acre Cloverdale Community Park is south of downtown Cloverdale, on a route leading to Lieber State Recreation Area


EAST POINT PARK

424 East Main Street, Bainbridge, IN, 46105

East Point Park features a paved, one-third-mile loop walking path.  True to its name, it is just south of Main Street, on Bainbridge’s east side.

GREENCASTLE PARKS

Many of Greencastle’s municipal parks, like Calbert Way, Maple Berry, Micaela Cancilla, Mary Rogers Field, Robe-Ann, Jaycee, and Big Walnut Sports Park, can be reached by People Pathways, the 18-mile, multi-use trail running east/west through Putnam County.

Just south of the Putnam County Airport, on Greencastle’s east side, Jaycee Park is for nature lovers.  The focus of the 22-acre facility is a pond, ideal for fishing, picnics and relaxation in a quiet space.

ROBE-ANN PARK

405 South Bloomington Street, Greencastle, IN, 46135

Greencastle’s Robe-Ann Park literally and figuratively got the ball rolling.  The mother of the city’s parks system, Greencastle Public Parks & Recreation originated in 1928 when John and Anna Robe donated land to the city for use as a playground and recreation area.
