Joining a small but growing group of competitions in the U.S., the A.I.M. (Amazing Indiana Marksmanship) Slingshot Tournament seeks to become the most recognized and esteemed Slingshot Tournament in the country. Beginning this year on October 17th, the two-day tournament gives competitors the entire weekend to practice, shoot, hang around, and have fun.
A three-day affair, competitors take aim at a variety of events including two distinct woods courses, a speed shoot, and a long-distance “shoot-off” style event. Youth, Amateur, and Professional categories exist to accommodate all skill ranges.
More than 60 competitors from 13 states competed on the course in 2024, camping for the weekend at Jaycee Park. This event’s connections to the Putnam County Visitors Bureau, Putnam Parks & Pathways, and Greencastle Parks & Recreation Department allow for the use of Jaycee Park in this unique fashion.
