Calling all athletes of Putnam and Surrounding Counties! Come join us in rising to the challenge to support the Greencastle High School soccer team through an Outdoor Sprint Triathlon. All ages 8+ are welcome as we band together to challenge ourselves with a focus on educating and encouraging younger athletes about local fitness groups and competitive events.
The Triathlon is an athletic event that focuses on 3 areas: Swimming, Biking and Running, in that order. The fee is $25 per person and each participant will receive a T-shirt. Nutrition will also be provided at the end of the race. Participants can register online or in person. In-person registration begins at 7 a.m. the day of the event and the Silver Sprint begins at 8 a.m. The event is expected to wrap up around 11:00 a.m. but start and finish times are approximate.
The Robe-Ann Park Pool will be utilized for the swimming portion, while the biking course will be located through Greencastle neighborhoods and to Big Walnut Sports Park. The Running Course will be through Greencastle neighborhoods. Parking will be on the North Side of the pool and the Transition Area will be on the West Side Parking lot.
