FERN STATION

The soon-to-be fifth nature preserve in Putnam County, which already has more land in protected nature preserves than any other Indiana county. This nearly 600 acres of upland forest was purchased by the Central Indiana Land Trust, a partner of Putnam Parks & Pathways.

GLENN FLINT LAKE RECREATION AREA

Nearly 400 acres of Putnam County forests will soon be open to campers, hikers, fishing fanatics, and outdoor lovers. Glenn Flint Lake is currently developing a plan to create a campground and recreation area that will host residents and visitors in the lesser-traveled northern portion of the county.

HAMRICK STATION TRAIL

Expanding People Pathways another 3.1 miles, along one of the most beautiful and scenic portions of trail so far, the Hamrick Station Trail has historical value, amazing views, and is fit for hiking, cycling, or dog walking.
